Need a literary analysis done for eng 125 introduction to literature | ENG 125 Introduction to Literature | Ashford University

The story I chose is Piropo by Leticia Del Toro”.

Prior to beginning work on this assignment, review Chapter 3 Section 3 (which you originally read in Week 1) in the course textbook. As you read in the course textbook, there are many ways to respond to literature. For your final assignment in this course, you will write a literary analysis essay.

Review the List of Writing Prompts located in your online classroom, and select a literary work from the list provided. Then, apply the  method (explained in the course textbook) as you read the work. When you make a claim (i.e., a working thesis in response to the prompt—the last step in RUN-QC), be sure your claim offers a statement that directly responds to the prompt you selected.

Carefully review Chapter 3 Section 3 in the course textbook as you plan your literary analysis. You are also encouraged to study the sample literary analysis and associated annotations in the course textbook. Be sure to include two scholarly secondary sources; these sources should contain literary research about your primary source (the short story you chose from the list of literary works). Remember, you started researching your secondary sources for your Week 2 Annotated Bibliography assignment. You should also address the feedback your instructor provided after your Week 3 Literary Analysis Draft assignment.

In this class, you have two tutoring services available: Paper Review (available in the online classroom) and Live Chat (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.. • Analyze the primary source you selected from the approved List of Literary Works. (Avoid summary and personal reflection.)
  • Develop body paragraphs that contain clear topic sentences and examples that support the argument.
  • Write a conclusion that reaffirms the thesis statement and includes a summary of the key ideas in essay.
  • Apply your knowledge of literary elements and other concepts in your response to the prompt.
  • Incorporate research from the primary and scholarly secondary sources.

  • Professor’s feedback:
  • We want to create a thesis statement that makes at least three debatable claims related to the character that we are analyzing.   Think of three or four adjectives that you might use to describe the character.  You can then incorporate those adjectives into  a thesis statement that should appear as the last sentence in the introductory paragraph.  You can then find examples from the short story and the additional sources gathered to help you prove each of the adjectives that you have listed in the thesis.  We  might also consider some of the things that the character says or does or how others react to her.
